Egypt’s Printing and Packaging Exports Hit $614.6 Million in the First Six Months of 2022
The Egyptian Export Council for Printing, Packaging, Paper, Literary and Artistic Works announced that the sector’s exports from January to June 2022 rose by 37 percent to hit $614.6 million, compared to $449.4 million in the same period of 2021.
In its monthly report, the council said that exports of packaging rose by 30 percent to reach $363.9 million against $280.1 million in the same period of last year.
Also, paper exports went up by 30 percent to $232.5 million against $142.3 million in the corresponding period last year.
Exports of flexible packaging films increased by 31 percent to $223.8 million in the first half of 2022 against $171.3 million in the same period last year.
